Itinerary:

Collection from lodge

Departing from your lodge, just before first light, we head off to Kruger Park to enter the reserve as gates open. Pick-up time varies depending on gate opening times over different seasons. Most lodges, we collect from are situated between 15 mins to just over an hour away from a gate into Kruger Park. So, once departed from the lodge, you can expect up to 1h 30min transit, before entering the reserve on safari.

Prime Time Game Drive

Entering the reserve as gates open, is to take advantage of what is considered ‘Prime Time’ for game viewing. This is to optimise your game viewing experience, in the cool hours of the early morning, the period of day when animals are at their most active, especially predators. This game drive is usually 2 to 3 hours long.

Breakfast Break

After your first game drive, we break at one of Kruger’s main camps for a toilet, coffee & breakfast break of 45 min usually, before heading off on another game drive adventure.

Morning Game Drive

After breakfast we head out on safari again, to make the most of the rest of the morning in search of species we weren’t lucky enough to find already, during ‘prime time’. This game drive, much as the first, is between 2 to 3 hours long, before we break for lunch.

Lunch Break

If no other arrangement has been made, lunch is for your own account at one of Kruger’s main camps, which all have restaurant and shop facilities one can make use of. Alternatively, we break at one of Kruger’s smaller picnic spots, where we will cater a delectable picnic lunch and bushveld spread for you instead. Picnic lunch will only be catered for by arrangement, prior to your safari and cannot be requested on the day.

Afternoon Game Drive & Return to Lodge

After lunch, in the afternoon heat, we will have a shorter game drive than the previous, usually lasting 1 to 2 hours, before exiting the reserve and returning to to your lodge for the night or an alternative drop-off point as arranged.
